What we calculate
From your date, exact time and place of birth we compute the positions of the Moon, Sun and planets using standard astronomical data (Swiss Ephemeris) with the Lahiri ayanamsa. From this we find your rasi (Moon sign), nakshatra (birth star), lagna (ascendant) and your Vimshottari dasa periods.
Which tradition we follow
Classical Indian Vedic astrology (Jyotisha): the sidereal zodiac, Vimshottari dasa and the standard rules found in the classical texts used across India. For marriage matching we apply the 10-porutham (guna milan) system with papasamyam (dosham balance) and dasa sandhi. For muhurtham we follow the traditional panchangam rules for nakshatra, tithi and weekday.
How AI explains it
Nilavu is a purely AI-powered service, no human astrologer reviews your report. The AI does not invent predictions: it takes the calculated results and the traditional meanings, and writes them in warm, simple words in your language, like a kind relative explaining. Technical terms sit behind a “See the details” button so you can check the numbers whenever you like.
